Group of experts in health,
chemistry, meteorology, engineering and environmental policy, with academic, government and industry partners
Integrating spatially-dense sensor
networks, mobile monitoring and sophisticated instrumentation to map and characterize air pollutants and support effective interventions
Provides equipment and services to other researchers to facilitate their research on topics such as atmospheric chemistry, particulate matter, etc.
Our Mission
RAIN aims to remove barriers to effective action by developing and rapidly deploying integrated monitoring that better represents air pollutant emissions and exposures. This includes harmonized deployments of both low-cost sensors and state-of-the-art reference-grade instruments. RAIN’s expertise in engineering, health, building systems, chemistry and policy will subsequently facilitate the development of interventions that can be implemented and tested on shorter timescales.
